About The Project

Realized and operational
The palm kernel crushing plant ran on genset power because the local grid suffers from frequent power outages. This is not compatible with the palm kernel crushing process, the products tends to solidify within minutes and becomes hard as rock. The obvious solution was adding a UPS, the power outages could then be bridged and let the plant run on the electricity grid. However, a purely operational solution was found and the operators were thaught a procedure to clean the presses within minutes of a power outage. This way the plant can now run on the local grid and more than half a million liters of fuel is saved every year!
